Hi I'm Stu!

I've been a professional DJ for 15 years. Over the past 10 years I've worked in bars and nightclubs in Manchester, Newcastle, and Preston, and also worked as a radio presenter on The Bay in Lancaster and The Bee in Blackburn. More about my experience.

Now in my 30s, I've settled back in my hometown of Barrow-in-Furness and recently returned to doing mobile discos, investing in a top quality sound system and lightshow. More about my gear.

My bookings are almost entirely Lake District weddings. In 2010 I've worked at The Langdale Chase, The Low Wood Hotel and The Grange Hotel, and my 2011 diary is getting full with bookings in Windermere, Grasmere, Troutbeck, Ambleside and Newby Bridge.

Unlike many disco businesses, I do not employ or sub-contract other DJs, often younger and less experienced. I guarantee to DJ personally, which means I only accept one booking per night.

I can accommodate most styles of popular music from classic oldies to the latest chart hits, taking care to avoid cheesy party music. Requests are very welcome, the bride and groom often compile a list of favourites in advance which I'm happy play. I have the necessary skills to keep people dancing, carefully watching which tracks go down well and structuring the night to include a broad mix of music. Read some recent comments.
